How OFTEN should I take my Foundational Formula?
Take 5 days a week (skip any 2 days of the week).
When should I take my Foundational Formula?
Take your “breakfast” packet (6 pills) with breakfast, and your “dinner” packet (6 pills) with dinner.
Even though my packets are dosed to be taken with breakfast and dinner, can I take them all at once?
Yes (with any meal), especially if you find yourself frequently forgetting to take one of the doses.
Taking the supplements consistently (5 days a week) is most important, though when you take them as prescribed (with breakfast and dinner), you will also get the benefits of chrononutrition (improved utilization when taken during optimal dosing times).
Do I need to take my supplements with food?
Always take your supplements with a meal as food (1) helps stimulate digestion which helps improve the utilization of your supplements, and (2) minimizes the risk of any stomach upset.
Note: Most people who have experienced stomach upset from supplements in the past tolerate these supplements as long as they take them with food.
How should I begin taking my supplements?
Although most people don’t have any issues taking these quality supplements, out of an abundance of caution, to help you and your body acclimate to your supplements, begin by:
- Taking any (1) packet the first day (with a meal), and if you tolerate it well (no stomach upset, etc.)
- Then add another packet the next day – (1) packet with breakfast, and (1) packet with dinner
- Keep adding packets until you are taking the full dose each day.

Vitamin D restricted diets: Do not take any Dr. Powers’ Foundational formula if you are diagnosed with a condition that requires limiting vitamin D supplementation to 400 IU (10 mcg), for example, kidney disease, hypercalcemia, primary hyperparathyroidism, Crohn’s, sarcoidosis, or other granulomatous disease.
Children: Keep out of reach of children.
Pregnant or breastfeeding: If pregnant or breastfeeding – please consult with your doctor before taking supplementation of any kind.
